FROM "FAIRIES AND FANTASY" TO HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYLES!
Today, my husband, brother-in-law and myself paid a visit to the HARLEY DAVIDSON MUSEUM. I was looking forward to seeing the changes that have been made to this area in downtown Milwaukee, (as we haven't been there for many years), but of course, Wisconsin's weather was at it again! It was pouring rain when we arrived at the museum's entrance this morning, so I only got a quick shot of the bronze statue above, which is at the entrance to the museum.
I've lived in the Milwaukee area all of my life, and have also been in love with motorcyles, and the freedom one experiences when flying down the road on one. Actually, that is how my husband and I met some 50 years ago. We've had a motorcycle ever since, and my husband worked for Harley Davidson for close to 40 years...in the shop, than as a high-speed test rider, and later as an A Mechanic.
It was fun seeing all the different models created throughout the years.
Below is the first Harley created in 1903.
The photos below will show you some of the motorcyles that are on display throughout the museum.
Me on an old Harley with a side car!
I'm not quite as old as the Harley!
These are just a very few of the photos I took today! If anyone is interested in learning more about the HARLEY DAVIDSON MUSEUM, click on the link below to visit their web site.
Now if our Wisconsin weather ever gets nice....we may get to go for a ride on our Harley!!
