How to win a custom designed standing style ANGEL figure!

I have been designing and creating my original designed, one-of-a-kind fiber sculpted fantasy sculptures for over 20 years (angels, fairies, mermaids, leaf spirits and more).  Several years ago, I would create a personal, original designed ANGEL for anyone who shared their  "ANGEL EXPERIENCE/S" with everyone here on my blog.  Several of the stories are still out here on my blog. Since this got to be a bit time consuming and costly, I will now create ONE angel for the person who's story is submitted and voted on by you the readers of the stories.

I believe ANGELS come in many ways to help us...they can be "earth" angels in the form of a friend, family member, one's pet, or a complete stranger.  They can also be "unseen" angels helping us in times of need, you just have to be open and aware. 

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE A STORY OF ANY EXPERIENCE YOU FEEL WHICH SHOWS THERE ARE ANGELS OF ALL TYPES HERE TO HELP US!

The time to submit your story will run from DECEMBER 28 - JANUARY 28, 2017. I will enter the stories out here on my blog, and on JANAURY 29TH,  I  will add a place where people can vote for the story that touched them the most. THE WINNER WILL BE ABLE TO CHOOSE THEIR CHOICE OF COLORS FOR THEIR 6" OR 8" STANDING ANGEL, AND I WILL SHIP IT TO THEM.

Maggie's name was randomly selected this morning - January 1, 2009, by my husband, out of the list of names of people who had submitted an "angel story" for my December drawing. (names listed below)

The drawing was open to anyone who submitted an "angel experience" to me, and had not already received a "special angel".

I will be contacting Maggie to see what her color choices are for her "special angel", which I will design for her. Once it is completed, I will post a photo of the angel out here on DZFANTASY.

This holiday season had started off pretty sad for me. My mom passed away from lung cancer July 6th 2007, and I was prescribed an antidepressant to help with my anger because I wasn't coping with losing my mom. She was only 67 young, and we had just lost my grandmother the Thanksgiving before, and losing my grandmother was a terrible loss for me too.

These two women were very important figures in my life and I just wasn't dealing with my loss, and my medications started doing things to me that I just didn't pick up on right away. Because I wasn't paying attention to what was going on with me and I was so focused on dealing with my loss, I almost lost it all.

The morning started out just like every other morning, but this morning I decided to drive my step-daughter to school to let my husband sleep in. I dropped her off at school and was headed back home, now granted I felt tired and run down and I did know that I wasn't getting the sleep I needed, but I thought I was ok to drive. I was driving along just fine when all of a sudden the lights went out ! I don't know what happened , it was like I wasn't really there at all ,but I do remember a feeling of the most truest peace I have ever known in my life. I felt no fear or pain, just peace.. Then I felt a presence in the car with me and I heard a female's voice talking to me in a very calming but firm instruction "Place your hands on the wheel and take hold, but not too tight", Slowly put your foot on the pedal and press slowly, do this now! I remember the car hitting the dirt and then the car spinning around like I was in slow motion. The car stopped completely and I looked around in a daze. Across the street some men were trying to attempt to climb a fence to come to my rescue, they were young firemen training. I still couldn't believe what was going on. I looked around me and still for a moment felt a presence of comfort around me. I was not afraid, and I think I should have been kind of upset but, I WAS IN COMPLETE CONTROL !! My car had completely stopped , I was facing the wrong direction so I turned the key on and started my car and as I proceeded to turn my car around and get back to my home. I rolled down the window and waved my hand to the firemen and yelled " I'm alright " , I'm OK " Thank you, and drove home.

All the way home I kept trying to figure out what had just happened to me because I had never had an accident and consider myself to be a very good and safe driver. I was feeling very alive when I got home and very hopeful because I knew in my heart and my mind that my life was saved because of an angel !! I knew this creature was here to help me, and I truly believe that my mother or my grandmother was the angel, because I felt like I knew this presence. I was so at peace and I wasn't afraid of dying or death, but it wasn't my time and my angel was there to help me and because of this I have taken a more deeper commitment to LIVING !! I don't take it for granted and I have learned to give more of myself than ever before ! I take pleasure in knowing that my mother and grandmother are watching over me and that they know how much I love and miss them.

I believe I found your website because I was meant to tell you my story. People need to know that we live in a wonderful, mystical, and sometimes yes,a sad world, but that each of us has a choice and we can either live it as a dimly lit candle or we can let it shine brightly and share that light with the rest of those lost to sadness and negativity. As for myself, I have had my doctors check my medications and I am on the right track now and I am doing great. Don't get me wrong, I will always miss them, but we will be together again in heaven when my father in his time brings me home. Until then I will live my life like it was intended to be.

I just wanted to tell you a couple of things that happened when my parents passed away.

Right after my father died, I came into my home and my 2 year old daughter met me at the door. We lived right next to my parents so my children were very close to them. She said to me,” Mommy, Granddaddy” and pointed to the air vent over the kitchen counter, and I said” no, baby, granddaddy isn’t here”. She said” Mommy, don’t you see him, he’s right there?”, again pointing to the vent. Now, I was just coming in from the hospital and she didn’t know yet, nor would she understand that he was gone, but she saw him there for more than a week, she told everyone who visited that he was there. I believe that he was there to watch over us during this hard time.

When my mom passed, she was at home. My niece, who was then 5 years old, was sleeping in my parents bedroom and there was a big closet between the two bedrooms. My mom passed during the night. The next morning when my niece got up, she came in and told us that she had seen granddaddy last night. When my sister said “you did?” my niece said “ Yeah, Mama, he was in the closet and when I asked him what he was doing in there, he said that it was alright, he was just there to get Grandma”.

So I do believe in Angels, they are always around watching over us, staying close just in case we need them.

I recently started an "Angel Stories" feature for my blog, and am bringing you an update as to the people who are to date, entered into the drawing for a "free" specially designed "Angel" of their choice. The winner's name will be randomly drawn from all who have entered for the month of DECEMBER, and who have not already received a special angel.

The drawing for the December entries will be January 1, 2009, so there is still plenty of time to participate in this drawing. In the summer of 1983 I was eight and a half months pregnant with my first daughter. It was August and extremely hot and humid. I was on my way home from work and the day had been the worst ever.

While sitting at a stop sign behind two other people, I was getting very frustrated because no one was moving. For no reason at all everyone was just sitting there. Very uncharacteristic of me I yelled out the window at the top of my lungs "MOVE"!!!

The person in the front of the line called back to me in a very calming voice and said, "It's OK, Calm down".

When he turned, I noticed for the first time that he was in a bright red truck with no license plate and the bed of the truck was full of rose bushes and every one of them was in full bloom. When I got to the stop sign and looked down the street in the direction he had gone there was know one there and no place that he could have turned.

Then I realized that I did feel more calm. I actually had a smile on my face for the first time in days. I knew that I had just seen an Angel.

I still think of that time whenever I am stressed and it always helps to calm me.

AN ANGEL STORY - "NEVER ALONE" submitted by Kim

WELCOME....to DZFANTASY'S "ANGEL STORIES" FEATURE! It is my hope that many more people will be willing to share their stories and experiences out here!

"NEVER ALONE"

Many years ago, I was in a difficult situation and wasn't sure how to find my way out. One day, in despair, I was crying in the shower where my young children wouldn't hear me. At the same time, I began to pray to God, and my Grandpa for help. My Grandpa had passed away a few short years before, and I loved him dearly and always felt him near.

After I showered, I was lying on my bed covered in my towel, with my towel turbon on my head. There were big wooden beams going across the ceiling as this was a loft bedroom. On the beams were a few decorations. One of them being a plaque that had the famous "Footprints" poem on it.

Well, it was early June and a calm sunny day, not a cloud in the sky. All of a sudden a huge gust of wind blew open the skylight causing me to sit up in surprise. At the same time, the plaque somehow came off its nail and landed in my lap.

I just know that was my grandpa with a mighty blow causing that skylight to open and that plaque to land in my lap.

The next day, I made some difficult decisions and changes, and escaped the situation I was in. I had the strength because I knew I was not going to be alonge during the rough times ahead.

When I went to my grandpa's funeral, there was a tradition at his church that the pastor blew out a white candle at the end of his eulogy. Well, the candle was completely out, and then suddenly it flickered back to life. It was eerie and I knew it was his way of letting us know he was still around. He had suffered illness and pain for most of his life from an accident. I feel he felt free of the physical pain in life and therefore, he is really strong in spirit.

Thanks, Kim for sharing this experience with us. I also truly believe that if we leave our "hearts and minds" open we will recognize when we are being helped and guided.

Since Kim was the very first person to share a story, Kim will be receiving the angel below as her "special angel". She had told me she really loved this one which was on my site, so I decided to see if she wanted this one instead of creating her another one like it.

ANGELS AND ANGEL STORIES

DZFANTASY'S ANGEL STORIES FEATURE
(When you see the colorful little angel above, out on my blog, you will know the post is about an ANGEL STORY)

Do you believe in angels....have you had an "angelic experience" you'd like to share? Several years ago I started an ANGEL STORIES page on my YOUNG AT HEART web site, where people who "believed" and had an "angelic" experience could write to me and I would put their story out on my website. It was truly an amazing journey in which I met the most wonderful people, and heard such inspiring stories. In return for people taking the time to share their experiences with everyone, I would create each of them a "special" angel as a gift. After a while, creating a "special" angel for each person who submitted a story became impossible, as I was receiving so many stories, so I picked a winner each month from all the stories that were submitted for any given month.

I would love to be able to bring this type of inspiration out here on my blog, and have decided to do an ANGEL STORIES feature on DZFANTASY .

Anyone who would like to share an experience, may email me, and I will put their story out here on DZFANTASY.

Each month, I will create a FREE "special angel" for the person whose name I will randomly pick from that month's entries. Also, anyone who has left a comment in this post about their thoughts on angels, will also have their name entered into the drawing.

The person will have the chance to select the colors for their "special angel", (hair, skin tone, fabric, etc.). The first drawing will be on December 31, 2008, since I got this idea going a bit late for a November drawing.

The photos below show the type of little angels I will be creating for the winner's of each month's drawing. She is 6.5" tall, has a silk face, which I hand-draw, needle-sculpt, and hand-paint. The accents are Swarovski crystals.

There is no "catch" to this endeavor....I'm just trying to spread a bit of inspiration for all who visit here, and will enjoy creating "special" angels for the people who take the time to share their stories and experiences!
