ABOUT THE PRIZE;

SIZE: 1.75" X 1.75"

These "fairy face" pins are my own original designs. Each face is 100% silk fabric, which I individually handdraw, needlesculpt and handpaint. Their hairdos are made from a wide variety of designer yarns and are accented with silk flowers, Swarovski crystals and glass beads. The face and the pin's clasp are cemented to a circular piece of brass. Eac pin takes approximately 2 hours to complete. They make fun, colorful accents, and are great gift ideas.

ABOUT THE BUTTERFLY PIN:

Size: 2" x 2", Batik fabric wings, which have been lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top-stitched into a design, and have inner wire armatures. The butterfly's body, head and antennae are designed from Swwarovski crystals (a total of 12 crystals), on colored wire, and hand-sewn to the wings. The pin's back is a half-circle of texturized brass to which the wings and pin's clasp have been cemented to.

NOW ABOUT THE "BUTTERFLY WING FAIRY"

This BUTTERFLY WINGED fairy face is a charming little wall accent. They look great whereever you want to add a bit of magic, to any room in your home or office. The wing is 7" wide (span between upper wing tips), and 7" long (from tip of top wing to bottom tip of wing). Each wing has been lightly stuffed with 100% acrylic fiberfill, then top-stitched into a design, and have inner wire armatures. There is a loop on the back for hanging.

The fairy's face is 100% silk which has been hand-drawn, needle-sculpted and hand-painted. The eyes and lips are further enhanced with a crystal clear lacquer which gives them a 3-dimensional look and shine. This fairy's hairdo was created from a funky yarn with long eyelash and soft poofs of color in it. Her accents are 4mm Swarovski crystals,a tiny metal bumble bee charm, and a green Swarvoski crystal flower bead in her hair.

Her wings were created from a silky textured, minty green fabric, which has sparkly chips of rhinestones in the fabric. GORGEOUS!

I COULDN'T BELIEVE I WON THIS!!

I must say I was totally surprised and delighted when I received an email from Elke of D'Elle Juwelen to let me know that I had won one of her delightful charms which she had as a "giveaway" recently.


Me, who never wins anything, wins the very first "giveaway" that I entered. This has me thinking I should maybe take the time to enter more! I might be on a "lucky" streak!


I received my charm today, and it is just delightful in its simplicity and charm. It came in this colorful, gauzy bag. What fun to get a treat like that in the mail. I just happened to have a sterling silver chain to put it on.

Her face is 100% silk, which I have hand-drawn, needle-sculpted and hand-painted. The face has been sprayed with a matte finish sealer, so you won't have to worry about it running or smearing if you should get caught in a bit of rain. The wings are lightly stuffed with acrylic fiberfill, top-stitched into a design, and have inner wire armatures.

Her colorful hairdo is a fun, funky yarn, with "poofs" of color in the texture. Her colorful antennae were designed using tiny, colorful glass seed beads, and a 4mm Swarovski crystals at the top of each antennae.

The pin's back is a half-circle of texturized brass to which the wings and the pin clasp have been cemented to.
