I am hoping to combine my two passions, creating fiber fantasy figures and fantasy jewelry, and helping rescue dogs find their "forever" homes.

The past year, I've been involved with a private rescue organization in my area (Mukwonago, WI) called Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue which is a non-profit organization.  They depend on donations to help with the high vet bills, food and other items incurred by all the little "buddies" they give a home to.

To learn more about Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue and the dogs available for adoption visit the link below

It is my hope to be able to help find these sweet little "buddies" homes by selling various piece of my artwork and donating the full price to sponsor individual dogs.

I will be donating the full price of the above pictured mermaid to sponsor LUCAS who is pictured above.  Lucas needs to find a home soon as he isn't really happy at the rescue.  He loves to go for walks and run in the grass!  Click on LUCAS'S photo to learn more about him.

Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue - Adoptable dogs for you to love!

Here is "SALTY"  (cockapoo)
without his surgical collar on! I'm sure he is very  happy to have it off!
He is such a happy little fellow!

I took my camera with me today when I went to the Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue this morning so that I could take some photos of a few of the little guys/gals who are looking for their "forever" homes!  It was a bit hard getting them to stand still, but below you will see a few photos, and I hope to get some more in the near future to share with you.

If anyone is looking for a dog to share their lives with, I do hope you will think about one of these.

This sweetie is STREAKER and she loves to jump up on the gate to greet you!

TACO

Taco is an 8 year old, 7lb, male chihuahua. He is a long haired, tri-color chihuahua mix.

CURLY
Curly is looking forward to meeting his new family.  He is a 2 year old neutered male.

Ribbon and Casabella (left to right with Streaker in the background)
They were standing up looking for treats (which they got!)

If anyone would like to learn more about these adoptable dogs, be sure to click on the BICHON AND LITTLE BUDDIES RESCUE link below.  Here you will find all the information about these dogs and others that are available, how to adopt them, costs, etc.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Loveable dogs looking for "forever" homes....!

For the past couple of weeks, I have started volunteering several hours a week at the Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue, which is located in Mukwonago, WI where I live.  I LOVE dogs, and wanted to contribute in some small way to make the world a little happier place for these four legged creatures who are just looking for someone to love them and to give love back in return.  Periodically, I will be putting some of their photos out here.  To learn more about these adoptable dogs, just click on their name below their photos.

UPDATE ON "MILLER": 2/7/11 - YAY, Miller found a "forever" home this weekend.  Have a good life little buddy!

Below is Salty...a cockapoo, which is one of my favorites at the rescue.  He reminds me of my own cockapoo, Harley, although Salty is a bit bigger and has curly hair. Salty loves to go for walks and is good on a leash.

Salty is doing his best to look depressed with his cone on. He wants to lick his neuter area, so he needs to keep the cone on until he is healed. Poor Boy!

Roller Coaster (now Salty) the Cockapoo was adopted through Bichon and Little Buddies when he was a puppy along with his sister. Unfortunately, the combination of two young dogs as well as an older one was too much. Salty was too rough with his sister, but was good with the other dog in the family. He is about 9 months old, and has a non/low shed coat. He is still working on housetraining, and is a bit shy with new people.
These two loveable dogs are just a few of the dogs available for adoption through the BICHON AND LITTLE BUDDIES RESCUE.  To see more of them and for further information, click on the link below.

HARLEY in the first snow!

My buddy, Harley, in his new coat...enjoying the first snow!

While I wasn't exactly thrilled to see the first snow of the season, Harley sure was!!  He was trying to catch it in his mouth and went wild running around in the little bit we had so far!

Now if he could do some shoveling that would be great!  Guess I will see the joy in snow through his antics in it.

He does have a "thing" about sitting on top of things!

I will be having a new giveaway out here soon, and also new "featured" Etsy shops, so do stop back for a visit!
