What led you to start creating your art/craft?
Mi amore who is my inspiration.
How did you decide what medium you wanted to work with?
In horticulture classes, I learned about the value of growing and using hemp for our environment. It’s eco-friendliness is the main reason I chose this fiber. It is also durable and I want my pieces to last. Hemp is the second strongest natural fiber available. The first? Human hair. I chose hemp.
What aspect of creating your art/craft do you find the most enjoyable?
I enjoy playing with the sparklies! (beads), I enjoy the meditative nature of the knotting. The best is seeing others gain enjoyment from my creations.
If you had to choose a fruit OR a vegetable, to describe your art/craft, what would you choose, and why?
A pumpkin. As they grow, these guys spread out and demand more and more space each day.
If you had to choose one other medium in which to display your “creativity”, what would that be, and why?
Acrylic paint on canvas. Macrame is an outlet for the craftsman in me. Painting, the artist.
