Picasso Moon Silk Painting Original

Abstract Silk Painting of woods at night, with full moon reflected in pond.Only the finest of French dyes have been used to create this one of a kind, original silk painting.

I am so excited to have the beautiful work of Klaire of MYSTIC SILKS out here on DZFANTASY as a featured artist.

Klaire's work is just unbelievable! I've always loved hand-painted silks in any form, and her paintings are just so exquisite with all the colors and details! Klaire not only offers exquisite, hand-dyed wall paintings, but also colorful silk scarves and more in her Etsy shop "MYSTIC SILKS". Be sure to pay this shop a is very inspiring just to look at her work.

What led you to start creating your art/craft?

I've always been in love with the process of creating in the viusal art's field. I was taking an art class in ' Contrasts' while another class teaching silk art was going on. I stopped by the class and fell in love with the process of silk art.

How did you decide what medium you wanted to work with?

I work with many mediums, oils, watercolor, acrylics, and silk dyes. But working with French dyes on silk is a creative challenge.

What aspect of creating your art/craft do you find the most enjoyable?

The outcome!

If you had to choose a fruit OR a vegetable, to describe your art/craft, what would you choose, and why?

I guess I can't relate to a fruit, or veggie to describe my art. Perhaps an other worldly eatable?

If you had to choose one other medium in which to display your “creativity”, what would that be, and why?

It would be in an oil painting, , maybe a watercolor, and acrylic.

What message, if any, do you want to convey with your art/craft?

That there is beauty all around us , if we take the time to just stop and look,to really see. And, that there is so much beauty in the very smallest of things. My silk painting of " Forest Flower and Friend" speaks to that theme.

"Forest Flower and Friend"

What advice do you have for other artists/crafters?

Oh, I don't have any advice for other artists and crafters; they are already doing a soul dance. But for those who are the ' I always wanted to' draw, paint, create a sculpture; I say, then if you've always wanted to, then get moving, do it! You'll be happily surprised to find that it was always inside of you waiting to be freed.
